It all began in the Centennial neighborhood. We started by connecting with kids in a parking lot until Freedom Foursquare Church stepped in, handing us the keys to their 16,000-square-foot facility. By March 2022, Parklane Christian Reformed Church (PCRC) invited us to launch a second site next to Parklane Elementary.
After eighteen months of split-site programming, we consolidated at PCRC in mid-2024. We now run our out-of-school program there four days a week and host our annual Family Celebration on-site. We are deeply grateful to PCRC and Parklane Elementary for making this work possible.
Our presence in Rockwood began in April 2023 through a partnership with the team at AS IS Church and The Hope Center. Following their extensive building renovations, they invited us to launch a site within their community-focused space. While the identity of the building has since evolved into The Underground PDX—a dynamic CrossFit gym and community center—the same dedicated team remains our foundational partner.
Operating four days a week, our program serves many families living in the surrounding apartments. By partnering closely with Rockwood Preparatory Academy for student referrals, we’ve built a consistent, safe, and active environment where Rockwood families can thrive.
Our newest chapter began in the Montavilla neighborhood in February 2025. After the Rose City Nazarene congregation dissolved in 2020, Portland Central Nazarene took stewardship of the building with a vision to transform it into a community nonprofit hub. Their pastor discovered our work on Instagram, reached out and 18 months later we were launching our third site.
Located directly next door to Vestal Elementary School, this location serves a vibrant group of students who transition daily from the classroom to our program. In October 2025, the Montavilla site also became the official "home base" for our team. We’ve transformed our dedicated office space with the "We Belong" touch, creating a warm, home-like environment for our staff and the community we serve.
